Company Description
LCWSC is a Special Purpose District that provides water and sewer service to the unincorporated areas of Laurens County and portions of southern Greenville County. LCWSC is governed by a board of nine appointed board members, with seven from each of Laurens County Council Districts, one representing the City of Clinton and/or Laurens, and one representing southern Greenville County. Board members from the Council Districts must also be customers of LCWSC. This appointed board ensures that LCWSC board members have strong backgrounds in technical or managerial areas. Their expertise allows them to make well-informed technical decisions that are cost effective for our customers.
 
LCWSC and the Board of Commissioners desire to serve the people of Laurens County by providing the best water and sewer service available at the most affordable rates. We strive to operate with the interests of Laurens County and the people we serve.

LCWSC has over 50 years of history serving Laurens County and communities in southern Greenville County.
 
LCWSC service territory is over 90% of the County’s geographical area with 900 miles of water distribution lines, 11 elevated storage tanks, 6 booster pump stations, 25 sewer lift stations, and 65 miles of sewer collection lines. They provide on average 3.2 million gallons of water a day to over 47,000 people and treat 1.1 million gallons of wastewater per day, including sewer collected by the City of Clinton.

Earning potential is dependent on position, education, licenses, etc. Starting salary is usually around $35,000 for technicians and CSRs and increases based on experience, education, etc.
